A Little f'REAL! Background… When our founder Jim Farrell (aka Jimmy) was growing up, there was nothing he loved more than a delicious, hand-scooped milkshake. But he wasn't a big fan of the scooping, blending and messy clean up. And he didn't really enjoy standing in line at his local ice cream parlor either. Thus Jim wondered, "What's a kid who really loves milkshakes supposed to do?" For more than 20 years, the question remained unanswered. And it slowly morphed into a quest…
"There's got to be a better way Never one to sidestep a challenge, Jim decided to quit his day job, don his inventor's hat (his favorite hat) and set to work in his garage. Fortunately he had gotten an engineering degree from Cornell (Go Big Red) and some solid business experience along the way. After much experimenting, Jim succeeded in creating a completely new kind of blending system - one so simple that it automatically blends great-tasting frozen blended beverages with the push of a single button. Today, Jim's freshly-blended MilkShakes, Real Fruit Smoothies and Frozen Cappuccinos are a bona fide hit with consumers (and retailers) across the U.S. And the company he founded, f'REAL! Foods, is turning his vision into a reality. |
