Job Description

The Product Manager reports to the Director of Retail Marketing and will be responsible for efforts to generate growth and profitability through leading equipment product management. This position will manage all initiatives to support the current in-market f’real self-service equipment by supporting lead generation and conversion initiatives, equipment improvements and market communication. This role has a strong cross-functional leadership component and interfaces with engineering, sales, marketing, finance and Customer Support teams internally, and external customers.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing and executing the product marketing strategy that supports the short and long term objectives of the company’s in-market self-service equipment
  • Collaborates with innovation and engineering teams to understand and translate technological solutions to enhance U/X and bring new features to market
  • Identifies and communicates product priorities across the company by collaborating with and bringing consensus among various functions
  • Deeply understands customers, technology and competition and synthesizes into product strategy
  • Leads usability studies, research and market analysis into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction
  • Understands strategic and competitive position in market to deliver best-in-industry products
  • Works closely with Sales to develop pricing strategy and analyses
  • Develops lifecycle plans for multiple versions of equipment propositions, e.g. provides transition recommendations and management
  • Leads cross-functional and project teams to deliver strategic recommendations
  • Defines and analyzes metrics; develops recommendations to optimize product success; establishes best practices
  • Communicates equipment buying programs and serves as content owner for equipment collateral

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years relevant product management experience with technology products
  • BS/BA degree preferably in marketing, business, engineering or related field; MBA preferred
  • Experience working closely with engineering/technical teams from a marketing perspective
  • Strong analytical skills – able to easily analyze data, and then reach conclusions and drive implications
  • Strong MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) skills required
  • Salesforce.com experience is a plus
  • Convenience store channel experience a plus

Accountabilities & Performance Measures

  • Delivers company net profit target
  • Delivers equipment target (absolute cups sold and change vs. prior year)
  • Achieves velocity targets, as defined by cups per store per day (CSDs)
  • Delivers forecasted program ROIs
  • Launches new products and programs on-time and within targeted cost parameters

Job Requirements

Some level of travel required for field visits, customer and company meetings (approx. 25%)
